Renault R35 Model 1939 (France 1940)

The Renault R35 was the most numerous of French tanks. It had been designed to replace the FT-17 although with insufficient trained crews, many FT-17 remained in service. on 1st September 975 Renault R35 were in service. The French supplied Renault R35 to both Poland and Romania. Following the fall of France in 1940, 843 of these French tanks were pressed into service by the occupying German army for security duties as well as being supplied to their Axis partners such as Italy and Bulgaria.
