Hotchkiss H38 Series D

The Hotchkiss H35 was developed by the French in 1933 and entered service in 1936. Initially designed as an infantry tank it's all terrain handling was poor and it was rejected by infantry units. In 1938 an improved engine was fitted and the tank, while still officially designated H35, was often referred to as the H38 Series D.
