PL-43 Armoured Railcar with T-34 (1941) Turret

By 1942, the Russians had developed the BP-43 Armoured Train. This was built around 4 armoured platforms designated PL-43. The PL-43 was based on a 20-ton two axle railroad car. It had armour of 45mm on both front and sides and 20mm on the roof a chassis. The car was armed with a T-34/76 turret with a 76mm gun and three 7.62mm DT machine guns in ball mounts. The 1941 Turret with the F-34 76mm gun was the most commonly used. The PL-43 was crewed by 6-8 men with 80 produced during WWII.
