De Havilland Mosquito Mk II / VI / XVII

The Mosquito was a British twin engine multi role aircraft originally conceived as a fast unarmed bomber. With the bulk of the aircraft constructed from laminated plywood , the Mosquito was also known as the "Wooden Wonder". It served successfully in a range of roles from low to medium altitude daytime bomber, high altitude night bomber, pathfinder, day or night fighter, fighter-bomber and phot reconnaissance aircraft.
