Isuzu TX-40 General Service Truck

The Isuzu TX-40 was developed in the 1920s to provide a domestically produced truck that met the standards of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The TX-40 was a 2 ton general purpose truck for urban use with a smaller 1.5ton version known as the TX-35 for rural use. Built using wholly Japanese parts these helped lay the foundations of the Japanese automotive industry.
