IF5 Horse Drawn Wagon with Zwillingslafette 36

The IF5 (Infanteriefahrzeug ausf 5) was a small horse drawn wagon - Einachshanger - used mainly within infantry units to mount the Zwillingslafette 36 which was initially a dual mounted MG34 although these were later replaced by MG42. Early in WWII such wagons were used to provide air defence particularly for infantry units on the move. The cart could be braced by jacks when used in a static or defensive role. It was also mounted on the back of trucks to provide air defence.
