The NKL-16/41 Aerosan ("Aerosled") was a propellor driven armoured snomobile mounted on skis and used for reconnaissance, communication, medical duties, mail deliveries and emergency recovery in the northern USSR. The NKL-16/41 and NKL-16/42 was used during both the Winter War and World War II. They were built at the Narkomles Factory in Moscow and later at both the ZIS and GAZ car factories.
