Type 38 75mm Field Gun (Modified)

The Type 38 75mm Field Gun was a German Krupp designed gun imported by the Japanese. The Japanese manufactered over 2,000 under license at its Osaka Arsenal. Between the wars, the Japanese modified the Type 38 which improved the carriage, the elevation and firing rate. During the 2ns Sino-Japanese War, the Type 38 was again modified to improve elevation further. At least 400 of these were produced as well as existing guns modified. The Type 38 was still in service at the start of WWII.
