Marmon Herrington Mk III Armoured Car

Developed by the South African army prior to WWII, the Marmon Herrington was based on a Ford 3 ton truck chassis. The Mk III was similar to the earlier Mk II but with a slightly shorter wheelbase and increased armour. It entered service with the British in 1941 and was produced until mid 1942. It mounted an octagonal turret with a Boys Anti Tank rifle and a coaxial mounted Bren gun. Some vehicles were also supplied to the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army.
