3.7" QF Anti Aircraft Gun

The British 3.7" QF anti aircraft gun was Britain's primary Heavy AA gun used during WWII. The gun had a bore of 3.7" or 94mm and fired a 25 lb shell (11kg) with a ceiling of 28,000ft (8,500m). Prior to 1938 Britain had fewer than 180 AA guns larger than 50mm. By the Battle of Britain in 1940 this number had risen to 1,140. The 3.7" QF remained in production until 1945.
