The Krupp Räumer S was a 130ton experimental mine clearing vehicle. It was articulated in the middle with wheels of 2.7m in diameter, each fitted with 15cm rubber pads. The Räumer S had a crew of 8. It was proposed to be fitted with two MG42 for anti personnel and anti aircraft defence. The Alkett VsKfz617 was a 55ton test vehicle designed to simply run over and detonate mines. The front wheels would detonate mines while the rear whel was used to steer the vehicle.
