BTR-80

The BTR-80 is an 8x8 Armoured Personnel Carrier designed in the Soviet Union from 1986. It was introduced, relacing the earlier BTR-60 and BTR-70. The BTR-80 was based on the BTR-70 with a single 260hp V8 turbocharged water-cooled diesel engine replacing the BTR-70s twin gasoline engines. The primary armament is a 14.5mm KPVT macine gun with secondary armament of a 7.62mm KPVT machine gun. The BTR-80 has a crew of 3 and can carry 7 addition personnel.
