Mitsubishi A6M5c Zero Fighter Type 52c

The Mitsubishi A6M was a lightweight Japanese fighter operated by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service during WWII between 1940 and 1945. The 'A' designated the plane as a carrier based fighter, the '6' designated the 6th such model and the 'M' represented the manufacturer, Mitsubishi. 'Zero' was the name bestowed upon the plane by the Allies. On its introduction, the A6M was the best carrier based fighter in the world with its excellent maneuverability and long range.
