Churchill MK I / II

The Mk I first appeared on the beaches of Dieppe in 1942 and despite going on to be a much used and much conveted vehicle, the Mk I suffered from some problems not least of which was its weight and slow speed. While later variants were used as specialised armour within Hobart's Funnies and as the main tank for the Royal Tank Regiments in Normandy, older Mk I and II continued to be used in a home defense role.
