LVT(A)-1 with 37mm M6 Gun

Used extensively in the Pacific theatre during WWII, the LVT 'Water Buffalo' was ideal for island hopping and along with the DUKW and LCVP allowed the allies to wage war against Japanese held islands. In addition the Buffalo saw service with the British army in North West Europe being used to cross the Rhine and to assault flooded areas in the Netherlands. The LVT(A)-1 was based on the LVT-2 with armour of 6-12mm. It was also fitted with a turret from the M3 Light Tank with a 37mm M6 Gun
