JS-3 Stalin Heavy Tank

The JS-3 Stalin was a further development of the successful JS-2 which had increased armour protection, a new front glacis plate and a new mushroom carapace shaped turret giving an overall lower silhouette. The new bow shaped glacis plate earned the JS-3 the nickname of the "Pike". Crewed by 4 men the JS-3 was armed with a D-25 L/43 122mm gun. Secondary armament was a 7.62mm bow MG and a 12.7mm AA MG. In addition to service in the last months of WWII the JS-3 also served in Korea.
