AEC Matador Heavy Truck

Built by the Associated Equipment Company for British and Commonwealth Forces in WWII, the AEC Matador was distinctive with its flat fronted cab, gently curved roof and wheels at the corners. The flat load area was generally covered by a canvas or tarpaulin. The AEC Matador had a 10 ton capacity and was generally used for towing the 7.2", 5.5", 4.5" Howitzers as well as occasionally towing the British 25 Pounder.
