StuG III Ausf B

Initially designed for infantry support, the StuG III based on the Panzer III chassis became probably the most numerous of Germany's armoured fighting vehicles in WWII. In Russia the StuGs were later pressed into an anti tank role where they excelled benefitting from good firepower and a low silhouette. It was armed with a 7.5cm StuK37 L/24 and served in both the Balkans campaign and Operation Barbarossa in 1941.
