Beaverette Mk3 'Beaverbug' Armoured Car

The Beaverette or Standard Car 4x2 was a British Armoured Car built by the Standard Motor Company during during WWII. The first vehicle was built in 1940 at the request of Lord Beaverbrook (who ultimately gave his name to the car). The Mk3 has the curved front wings replaced and the chassis shortened. At the same time the hull was enclosed and machine gun turret mounted on top. The Beaverette was mainly used for home defence and training. Metal and brass etched item.
