Carro Armato M13/40 Command Tank with Twin MG

The M13/40 entered service in 1940 replacing earlier underarmed and underarmoured models when pitted against the British armour in north Africa. The M13/40 was the first Italian tank with a turret housing a 47mm calibre gun although it was soon proven to be insufficient against the Allied armour. However, despite this it remained in service until 1943. This Command variant lacks the turret but is armed with twin machine guns in a hull mount. The vehicle is open hatched and includes a crew man.
