Type 94 TK Japanese Tankette (Late Production)

The Type 94 TK was a Japanese tankette designed for reconnaissance. It was crewed by two men and was armed with a 6.5mm Type 91 machine gun. However, it was thinly armoured (8-12mm) and as a result could be penetrated by 0.5cal machine gun fire. The Type 94 TK was based on the British Carden Loyd Mk VI although the Japanese built a bigger vehicle in the Type 94. The Type 94 entered service in 1935. In addition to recon, it was also used as a light tractor for pulling ammunition trailers.
