Pz Kpfw II Ausf B

The second of the Panzers, the Pz Kpfw II was designed in the early 1930s. Like the Panzer I it was deliberately made simply and inexpensively as a training vehicle. However, it saw extensive service at the outbreak of WW2 during the Blitzkrieg as well as being a much converted chassis mainly for the production of self propelled guns up to 1944. The Ausf B was produced from December 1937 and served from the start of WWII in Poland and France through to Operation Barbarossa.
