Focke Wulf Fw 190A-8

The Focke Wulf FW-190 A-8 entered production in February 1944 was the next improved version of the FW-190A series. By this time, the FW-190 was the most important Luftwaffe multi role tactical aircraft on all fronts. Normal armament was made up of two MG 151 cannons in each wing and two MG 131 cannons above the engine in the fuselage. The engine was a BMW 801D-2 or 801Q which on the A-8 included a C3-injection emergency boost system.
