Armoured Locomotive of Type PR-43

The Armoured Locomotive PR-43 was developed in mid-July 1943 based on experience of earlier locomotives. The basis was the type OV or OP steam locomotive with attached armoured sheets of 30mm on the commanders cab, machinists booth and air defense turret. Elsewhere armour was limited to 10-20mm. The Air defense turret was armed with a 12.7mm DShK machine gun. In total, 20 PR-43 armoured locomotives were produced for the Red Army before the end of WWII. Includes photo-etched parts and track
