The BMW R12 was a flat-twin engine motorcycle produced in Germany between 1935 and 1942 by BMW Motorrad. A total of 36,008 R12 were produced. The R12 was quickly adopted into military service being used in reconnaisance and communication activities. The R12 was used extensively in all arms of the German military during WWII.
