The MTSA-S can be deployed as a towed gun or as here, fitted to an armoured self propelled mount. The MTSA-S was developed in the 1980s. and can fire HE, HEAT-FS, HE-BB, Hera, Smoke, Chemical, Tactical nuclear, illumination and cargo ammunition. It can fire 6-8 rounds per minute. The vehicle is also fitted with a 12.7mm NSVT machine gun.
