Beobachtungswagen auf Lorraine Schlepper (f)

After the fall of France in 1940, the Germans made use of most of the captured equipment they had inherited - of 387 Lorraine chassis produced the Germans had more than 300 in stock. The Lorraine 37L chassis was converted in 1942 to carry the 7.5cm Pak40, the 10.5cm leFH18 guns and the 15cm sFH13/1 with the remainder being used as ammunition carriers and artillery tractors. A total of 30 chassis were converted to Beobachtungswagen auf Lorraine Schlepper (f) as depicted here.
