M-72 Motorcycle & Sidecar with Crew

The M-72 was designed to replace the earlier TIZ-AM-600 and PMZ-A-750 which were considered outdated. The replacement was the BMW R71 which had been rejected by the Wehrmacht as a replacement for the BMW R12. Under the Molotov-Rippentropp pact, BMW provided the design, tooling and training for the M-72 to be manufactured in the Scoviet Union. The M-72 was produced between 1942 and 1960 with most being built with a sidecar.
