Leclerc (T.5) Main Battle Tank
The Leclerc entered service in 1992 as a replacement for the AMX-30. The main gun is a 120mm modele F1 smoothbore gun with a longer calibre giving it a higher muzzle velocity. The Leclerc features an automatic loading system. Secondary armament is a 12.7mm coaxial M2 heavy machine gun and a roof mounted 7.62mm. The Leclerc is operated by France, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.
