Fieseler V-1 Missile Launch Site

The V-1 Flying Bomb (also known by the Allies as the Doodlebug or Buzzbomb) was the first of the German Vengence Weapons and was an early cruise missile. It was powered by an Argus As 109-015 Pulsejet. It had a range of 160 miles and could carry a 1,870lb (850kg) warhead.

Initially, V-1 launch sites required the weapon to be launched from a static inclined ramp. The launch rail was 48m (160 ft) long and was built from 8 modular sections each of which was 6m (20ft) long.
