Ford V-8 Model 51 Cargo Truck
By 1936 the Ford Model BB truck was being phased out and replaced with a more modern design which more closely resembled Ford's car and pickup models. At the same time, all pick ups and trucks were being fitted with the V-8 flathead engine. The Ford V-8 Model 51 (sometimes referred to as the V8-51) was also produced between 1937 and 1939 at Ford's Cologne-Niehl plant which became Ford-WerkeAG. The truck was produced with a flatbed or box rear body as well as an open cab for military use.
