AMR35 ZT1b Light Tank

The Renault AMR35 Type ZT was produced between 1936 and 1939 as a light tank. It was armed with a 7.5mm Reibel machine gun (ZT1a) and later a 13.2mm Hotchkiss machine gun (ZT1b). Subsequent variants were developed as anti tank versions.

During the Battle of France they were attached to armoured or motorised divisions with most being lost in the early days of the conflict. The Germans made use of captured vehicles for internal security.
